Latest Lift Pump #

I am going to purchase a lift pump as a spare for an upcoming trip next month, and I would like to get the latest version.

Cummins parts guy said 3990106 is for 24 volt systems and not an updated 3990105, is he right? Any insight appreciated.

My truck is at the dealer now for the lift pump. He told me he doesn't think it's the lift pump cause they improved the design in 2001's. I had a hard time not laughing in his face considering half of you'll have proven otherwise. I asked him if he would run the guage on it and let me know what the numbers where. he said he would do that for me. We'll see. Looks like I better send Briar some money so I can have my own guage.

Cummins as of 5/13/02, $144. 95 for 3990105, $122. 00 for 3990106, that(the price difference) and I wanted the latest version, was the reason for my original post. The harness #4025182 is $7. 95. Thanks for the responses.

Did you guys bought from cummins dealers or did somebody sell cummins lift pump on web ?

I get most of my Cummins parts from Harbor Diesel in Long beach, CA. But just about any big rig dealer is also a Cummins dealer. Cummins West is in West Sacramento. Also the F**d Truck dealers are Cummins dealers.
