Average so far: 16. 11 MPG - Being drug down by my addiction to trailer towing. :-laf

Not sure what happened on 10/29/2004 - Speed Demon??? The average so far on the '05 Quad Cab is about the best I could get out of my '99 Regular cab driving it with an egg on the accelerator and 1. 0 MPG better than the average on the '99. I am very happy with this so far and I doubt that there is a mileage TSB in this truck's future. Still loving this truck! :D

I will post more mileage updates to this thread as they occur.

01/07/05 Update - Wednesday morning here it was 36*F when I started the truck. The truck ran a rough idle (first time it has ever done it) for a minute or so and exhibited some white smoke on start up. The white smoke does not bother me, but the rough idle does. Supposedly, TSB 18-037-04 is a cure for this, although some are doubting its effectiveness. If the rough idle at start up becomes a regular occurence, I may have the TSB done to see if I can cure that.

On a happy note. I have been one of the nay-sayers on the high mileage posts of some of these trucks. I am amazed, shocked, and flabergasted :--) that I can get 18MPG out of a QuadCab dually under any conditions.

They are hand calculated using a custom Excel spreadsheet. I can run the decimals out further if you would like. :-laf If you want to give me an e-mail address, I would be happy to send you a blank copy of the spreadsheet I am using. I track a lot of stuff on my fuel.

The mileage is very mixed and does not fit either catagory real well. Probably 20 - 30% city and the rest are hilly, curvy state highway miles with a max speed limit of 70. My average speed would be between 60 - 65, but each tank has some 70 on it.

I'm one happy dude!
