As some of you know, I sold the black 2004. 5 Dodge dually two weeks ago and picked up a 4x4 Ram diesel. I was just tired of trying to find parking for that big truck, especially in downtown Houston in the parking garages, and tired of maintaining a black daily driver.



Here is the newest daily-driver I replaced it with. In the last two weeks I've added several appearance mods and a TST Powermax tuner.



2006 Dodge Ram 4x4

Cummins turbo diesel, auto transmission

Color "Inferno Red" over khaki (dark tan) interior



I've added since buying it:



TST Powermax CR tuner (+120 rwhp, 200 ft-lbs)

Green brand panel filter (stock box)

20x9. 5 KMC "Backseat" wheels

33" Nitto Terra-Grappler tires

color-matched fender flares

bully foot steps

MBRP 5" exhaust tip, MBRP straight-thru muffler, 4" exhaust system

custom wire mesh grille

chrome door molding (originally black)

chrome door handles (originally black)

tinted windows

removed "Lone Star Edition" emblems on doors

removed "Heavy Duty" emblem on tailgate

That Inferno Red sure is catching on ! A buddy of mine just picked up an SRT-10 in Inferno Red last week, I get to try it out later this week !! Oo.

Hey, those backseats look good, they don't look like they stick out that far, do you know what the backspacing is on them? I want to sell my Mazzi Hulks cause they stick out too dang far. I think they would look sweet with 35" tires and a 6" lift, but i have to get my truck under a 5th wheel and goose neck, so no more lift for me, new wheels it will be.

Rubberneck, these also stick out about 2" past the fenders. I added the fender flares though, so now they sit even with the edge. I'm not sure on the backspacing, but they only make one offset for this style 8-lug KMC wheel.

I'll get on their website and check it out. I might need to find a 20 x 8" wheel to get what i want. I've never cared for flares on the second gens, but those look good. Nice looking truck. We just pulled all the badges (except for the C of course) off of my dads 06. I like the clean shaved look. :-laf

yeah, I had so much fun shaving emblems that I might remove the RAM 2500 and 4x4 also. The "C" will never come off though!

I love the look of the 3rd gen 2500 emblem.



I would drop the 4x4 one to further clean up the look.

Nice truck... . I agree... . might as well lose the 4x4 emblem... a clean tailgate is cool...



I went the other direction... I added the Big Horn emblems to mine to get more chrome on the Patriot blue... . along with the chrome grill (new addition) and bug shield, chrome trim and the Power wagon flares to break up the long sheet metal... LOL... #ad

It definitely would need a lift for 35s, the 33s rub slightly on the passenger side inner fender liner during full right turns. I had to cut about 1. 5" off of the bottom of that liner. Strangely, the driver's side didn't rub. I could have just put on a leveling kit, but this truck barely fits under the parking garage at work. I only have about an inch roof clearance right now.

I got the grille on ebay, it was $147. Very nice piece, heavy gauge stainless mesh. Installation was a little time consuming (have to drill/screw) but the finished look is worth it. Here is the vendor: http://stores.ebay.com/Automotive-Concepts

Nice job on the accessories... I always like personalizing my trucks too. I was thinking you didn't have too much clearance for those parking garages... even an inch is pretty tight.

It is new for 06. I was going to get that color and decided to get the black beauty I found. I guess I went the opposite direction of the original poster, LOL.
