My radio updated last week with the latest over the air update, don't recall which version. But now my station presets will not save. I can set them and the next time I start up they are back to the defaults. Is there a way to reset the head unit without taking it to the dealer?

on my 2019 with the 12'' screen the sirius xm stopped working so I called uconnect and they emailed me this soft reset procedure:
Here are the instructions to getting the Software reset on your Uconnect system. Hope this helps. On my truck the #1 worked perfectly and I also noticed that the XM feeds sounded much better tonally as well. I was a little thin sounding before I did the reset.

Soft Reset - #1
1) put the vehicle into the accessories mode (ACC or RUN)
***Push start cars, push the start button twice without having their foot on the gas or brake pedal***
2) hold down the Phone and voice recognition buttons, at the same time, for thirty seconds.
3) Let go of the buttons
4) Turn vehicle off.
5) Open driver’s side door for thirty seconds
6) Close door
7) Restart vehicle
8) Let media center load up and see if concern is still present – about 30 seconds.

Soft Reset - #2
1) put the vehicle into the accessories mode (ACC or RUN)
***Push start cars, push the start button twice without having their foot on the gas or brake pedal***
2) hold down the Volume and Tune buttons, at the same time, for thirty seconds.
3) Let go of the buttons
4) Turn vehicle off.
5) Open driver’s side door for thirty seconds
6) Close door
7) Restart vehicle
8) Let media center load up and see if concern is still present – about 30 seconds.

If you still experience issues after this reset instructions, please contact your dealer to get it checked.

Thank you for choosing RAM. Have a great day.

comrades - was listening to a podcast today based in the pacific northwest. 3 counties in oregon are proposing to ban the sale of diesel petroleum fuel by 2024. this makes no sense to me. i looked it up and the bill is real... hopefully this kind of " thinking " will not spread elsewhere. also enjoying the fuel prices up 50 cents per gallon in a month in denver ( sarc ). somewhere in this forum a member stated that the government hates our diesel trucks. i now gather that is true. cheers! :)

Then, run around the vehicle five times, get back in and close doors.:p:D:cool:

I have to say those are some pretty wild instructions. This has got to be foreign governments at work trying to wear us down to submission.

Anyhoo, good to know.

Figured out the issue. The updated must of wiped the radio memory from the key fob memory recall. Just saved the presets to memory and all is good.

There is that mystery fuse in the engine bay, right side at the firewall, close to the coolant bottle. Pull this.
