I wonder how much more I will have to pay for my next truck for that lawsuit... ... ... ... ... ... ... I would prefer you sell your dodge and pay for your own mistake of "buying one", then go get you a Furd or Cheby or some other brand and leave Dodge to build my next truck with out padding your pockets and draining mine.

Going to the government never solves anything and usually just makes things worse. You as a consumer have the ultimate power and control by not purchasing a product or service. Use it, with that freedom comes the reality that you will on occasion make mistakes. Giving the government the ability to prevent you from making that mistake also gives government the ability to force you to make an equally bad mistake. Who do you want making that next choice for you?

I would worry about the lawsuit costing Dodge anything, it is pretty unlikely any lawyer would take the case, people think they can sue over any little thing and never have to take any responsability for thier own actions, not to mention for a class action suit you would need some real data, real damages and suffering on the plaintiff's part, and hundreds if not thousands of people who's warrantees had been denied, none of which are available.

This is not directed at the origional poster just my opinion on sueing Dodge over warrantee issues.

Seems to me when I see "class action" lawsuits the only ones that haul in the money are the attorneys. The consumer gets screwed, unless we look at it as a moral issue such as warrantying the motors with the "hop up" stuff on. Still not sure it is worth it.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GET THIS OUT OF THE THIRD GEN FORUMS, I COME HERE TO DISCUSS THE THIRD GENS NOT WORRY ABOUT WHOS SUING WHO. :confused:

If you truly have a case that goes to the warranty and a failure of a part/parts that you have not contributed to in some way, engaging a lawyer, arming that person with your evidence and letting them be your mouthpiece may get your issue resolved. I would suggest that you be honest with that attorney regarding any mods that may have been seen by DC to have affected your warranty. It would be a good matter of reference to let that attorney know there are many modded trucks out there who have not had any problems as a result of mods making a point that you may have an underlying problem that was accentuated by the mod, and taht fault of the part(s) might have never come out until the bill was on you after the expiration of your warranty.

As far as a class action suit, p-Bar said it all - in the longrun the attorneys make all the money and the consumer gets screwed.

In any event, none of us can help you - you need an attorney. By the way, if you are having a problem with the comments/remarks you have received back from the forum members, remember you are the one who has asked for opinions. Some of these opinions may be well-received by you and some may not. But, you did ask for them, so take them into consideration without being ignorant. Maybe the response you made on post #5 is a reflection of how your attitude has put you where you are with Dodge?

CD

Another person that "bombed" their truck and made themself "their own warranty station" gone bad? :-{}

May I ask why, you want to sue D/C??? I see by the number of posts you have than your new here. Might I suggest that you check the archives on the subject. My own opinion is, if you are having enough trouble to go to court, you will hace a much better chence with your state's lemmon law.

No flame here, just fact :cool:

does anyone know if there r any class action lawsuits going on right now against dodge for warranty issues

Not trying to be a smart donkey here, but I did a search on your name (much like Dodge does) and found this thread

(cut from thread about broken flywheel) "it has 200000 on it the flywheel he is putting on there is rated at alot higher torque rating i dont know why he put the stock one on when he put the suncoast transmission in it would have been a good time to put a better one in im pushing 968 pounds of torque at the rear wheels"

You have voided the warranty by doing modifications, so how is a layer going to help you?

I cant see any lawyer help after checking these latest facts. You ARE your own warranty station and YOU ARE your own Lawyer... ... ..... GOOD LUCK. . You Bombed it, You abused it, You broke it, now, YOU fix it. . Sad but true. Once again, Good Luck!

Maybe he is asking for someone else?
