I was towing my 7x16 trailer with about 5k and i stopped off at a fuel station and noticed that my stabilizer bar was wet. I laid down to look to see where the leak may be coming from and it looks like the high pressure pump. I checked around the fuel filter area but i didnt see any leak there. My truck is a 03 6speed. I just was wondering what you all think or if you had this type of issue.

I noticed the same thing on my '03 but it was only a cracked banjo fitting. Take the fittings off of the pump and inspect them. Mine was a hair-line crack leaking fuel.

Can you tell where it's leaking from? In the past, people have reported leaks at the seam that runs along the middle of the pump.

Could also be leaking from the fuel control actuator, I think (that little electronic bit with 2 wires going to it... looks kind of like a motor).

Ive been driving this thing around virginia beach trying to see where it may be coming from. Without a load it doesnt seem to be leaking. ill have to get in closer to look. I appreciate all your help. ill be going back to missouri this thursday and ill see if i can locate it with highway miles. ill report back then

Just an FYI. Mine began to leak at about 8K miles or so. I never did locate the exact leak and neither did could the dealer. After me pushing the dealer they finally contacted STAR and replaced the pump and the problem was solved. What I'm saying is it might be really hard to locate the exact point of leakage, but good luck.

Mine started leaking this past winter at just under 35K. Replaced it and nothing since. The new part was an upgraded part number, so they changed something in there.
