Leak in cab. 2013

My Ram is in the dealer as I write this to have a water leak taken care of. It is a 2013 SLT with almost 30k on it and a couple of months ago it started to smell musty and when I started looking, there was a puddle under the rear seat. By reading this forum, it seemed like the 3rd brake light was the trouble and it was. The dealer advised me that the leak was addressed, what ever that means, but now to the point of this question. What, if anything, can I expect the dealer to do about the wet carpets and padding in the back. Not to mention that the headliner was stained also in the upper corners of the cab. I paid alot of $$ for this truck just as all of you have, and I don't want my truck to smell like a basement. Any advice will and is appreciated.

If you are still covered by the 3y/36k warranty, I would think that would be covered as part of the repair.......If you are still under warranty and the dealer refuses to fix it, I would call ram care, let them know the dealer won't fix it, and bring up the subject of "mold spores" and it's health hazards.

Thank you Ram4sam, yes it still under warranty. Can you explain ram care and what that is. I assume it is taking it beyond the dealer to Chrysler.

my 2010 started doing it and after a lot of re search i ended up taking the 3 nd brake light out and applying silcone all around the gasket and hasn't leaked yet - checked my 04.5 also and sure enough that was leaking a little also , did the same fix on that truck and both leaks are gone.

I just discovered a leak in my 2011 yesterday. I also wondered why my cab was kind of stinky/musty. Figured it was the 3rd brake light. My truck is usually in the garage most of the time but projects have it kicked outside for a while. Glad to have my suspicions confirmed.
