I have diesil fuel leaking on the hp fuel pump. where could it be coming from, do the pump leak or is it something else.

My first post said diesil oil but it is fuel thanks for any help

There is a triple circle o-ring between the gearator pump and the CP3 main housing. The gearator pump is mounted on the back/firewall side of the CP3, you may be able to tighten the 4 small bolts that secures it. I can't remember if they are allen head or torx, be careful not to strip them.

I have seen several CP3's leak here, but sometimes only in cold weather. You may have to clean the pump completely to find the leak, as this is just one possibility, the FCA could also leak, fuel line or the main shaft seal. I cannot emphasize enough, do not over tighten, I do not know the torque spec but most likely in inch pounds.

Here is a link to a picture, the gearator pump in the picture has the fins on it

Pumps sometimes leak, especially when it's cold from what I've red around the TDR. Sadly, if just tightening it as JJpage suggest doesnt work, about the only thing to do is remove it and get it repaired. TC Diesel will probably chime in here ~ he does that kind of work and I think that if you don't have a lot of miles, it may be able to just be resealed. You can also talk to Dynamic Diesel in Monroe if you don't want to do it locally.
