Can do one on a gasser but that you use a dual port guage threadded in a spark plug hole. On theese rigs I bet ya need a dummy like injector that has a flow thru valve and guage. Other than that it's easy. Cycl By Cyl rotate so you are just past BDC and valves are closed , and allmost til TDC valves closed.

Basicly how I described it above PLUS looking in the radiator for signs of coolant bubbling , Listen near the exhaust for air , also do a timed duration (X amount of minutes with x ammount of pressure). Keep a keene ear out at the puke tube (Or even have a stethascope handy)

i guess what you are asking for is the proper way to check it right . i would take all the inj-out beacause this will let the eng crank faster start with #1 and put the gage on and crank or have someone crank for you watch the gauage and when it dosnt move anymore stop cranking and write the results down for each one and if it had leakdown they should all be within 100lbs of each other . and might leak down slow and will alittle and if it leaks fast you might have found your culprit that might help i hope -ps post your resalts we can help you determin what the next step might be -josh

The hardest part is getting the engine to stay at TDC. Once you get it to TDC, or just slightly past wedge the ratchet that you're using on the barring tool to keep the motor from turning over when you apply the pressure. You want the motor at TDC because thats where most of the wear in the cylinder occurs. Jake
