Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Leaking 53 block?

How many are running around with the 53 block leaking? I saw one gent filling his the other week along the side of the hiway 1 just west of Brooks AB hiway 36. I have been filling mine for 22 months now!

If it is not getting bigger, then it is a gamble. . Another member did a fix called Lock-n-stitch, went out and towed a trailer and it cracked 3" away from the fix. .

It won't be able to be fixed and it is a gamble on when it might fail miserably.

Best advice is to get a new short-block and go from there.
