transmission Problem?

I have a leak where the transmission and t-case bolt together. My guess is that it's the rear seal on the transmission. Has anybody had a similar problem? How hard is it to replace? I'd rather do it myself than let the dealership touch it. It has 5400 miles and has been leaking for a while. It stopped for a week or two, then I put a loaner EZ on and it started leaking again.

Mine is leaking to but I think mine is comin from the very top where shifter goes in. At the back where the transmission meets the tranfer case is a breather tube, make sure its not comin from there.

Mine is leaking as well. I was going to try and tighten the bolts, but found the crossmember is in the way. It looks like it has to be removed to gain access. I didn't take it out because I seem to remember someone saying the frame has to be spread slightly to re-install. Hope someone has answers.

Fixed leak on top

My 5600 had a slight leak on the top seal, I tried tightening the bolts but it did not help. I finally just popped the shifter top off and used a little sealer on the rubber gasket. They use a 1/4 " thick piece of rubber with metal inserts to seal the top, you could also grind the metal spacers down slightly to get more gasket compression.

If you pop the top cap off look inside the hole at the size of the gears inside  I was amazed at the beef in there.

Mine also has a very slight more like damp leak from the very top which I am guessing is the shifter cover. Since it's leaks so little I am not going to worry about it unil it starts dripping.
