heater core is leaking on my '97 . I've been running without the heater or turn on air cond when it steams up cab interior untill I can work on it. (been somewhat laid up since 1st of year).
Anyway I bought book on the truck and it says discharge air (no big deal) and remove the dash assemlbly. I mean dash pad , whole nine yards. is there any way to take this core out and replace without tearing down the whole truck? The local 'stealer' wants 800 bucks for this. I just don't have that kind of money to spend for an $80 core replacement. :--)
