I developed a leak coming from under the pump where the solinoid braket attaches to the body of the pump. There are two 4mm hex screws that hold the bracket on and are very hard to get at. They can be seen with a mirror. I am having trouble getting the screws out. When I get them out what will I find? Is there some kind of o-ring or seal that is allowing fuel to drip out when the engine is running only?

Any one with experience on this problem?? Any advise on the proper tool to get at the screws?

Sorry. I'm not following you. If I can, I'll post a picture of a pump and you can show me. I currently do not have any close up pics loaded in the 'puter.

I know the 4 mm screws you are talking about. However, I suspect you are experiencing a leak with a delivery valve seal or an injector line that is weeping. There is also a 12 mm hex bolt dead center of the pump that might be weeping. I would check to make sure everything is tight.

Delivery valve seals can get hard over time and start leaking. You would need to remove the injector lines, then the delivery valves and replace the seals. Either way you would not need to remove that bracket held on with the 4 mm screws.
