Hello, I replaced the rear pinion seal about 4000 miles ago and today noticed the rear U joint was wet from axle lube. The leak is not coming from the seal. Question is can it be leaking from behind the pinion nut and how should I go about fixing it? Thanks Anthony in Idaho

When you put the yoke back on did you put any sealer on the spline? If not that is your problem. To fix it you'll have to remove the yoke and crush sleve. Get a new crush sleve and reinstall the yake putting sealer on the spline and under the washer. Reinstall the nut and torque the nut down.
