Am I the only one with leaking RECON cab lights?? I thought it would be cool to have clear lights, with yellow LED's, but everytime it rains good, I have a good size puddle on my Husky Mats...

I need some feedback, and where to seal them off! It seems that they are not leaking in at the bases, so I am sort of confused... Help me out y'all!

I just installed some RECON cab lights about a month ago and haven't had any problems with them. I put small o-rings under the screw heads to seal them against the the lights when tighted down. I picked them up at the local hardware store in the faucet repair aisle.

Mine did the same thing. Actually a friend of mine had his factory lights do it also. Take the screws out lift up the light and put a little glob of RTV silicone in the screw hole (and the wire hole) put it back on and forget it. Worked on mine for almost a year now.

What JFaulkner said above. My factory lights leaked and there was no sign of water inside the area sealed by the gasket. I dabbed a bit of clear RTV sealer on each screw, and no more leaking. 2yrs and holding.

leakd here too... . take out the steel screws and install a set of stainless screws with rubber washers or o-rings under them.
