Yesterday evening I got the leak to stop on my delivery valve holders. Only two were leaking(the 4th & 5th ones from the front). I had posted earlier about this(thread ), and someone had mentioned that the O-rings hold NO pressure, well true, BUT- if the factory O-rings get fudged up like mine did during install, then this will cause a huge leak.

In other words-if you tear or split the factory O-rings then you might as well replace them cause it WILL leak. I guess the rings have something to do with how square the holders seat, and this squareness is what holds in the fuel.

I replaced just the two O-rings and to my surprise NO LEAKS!!! :D

Oh and I need the part #s for the cummins O-rings if anyone has them, cause i used regular rubber ones from an assortment set i had to try this experiment. I will go back in the next couple of days and re-replace with the right ones.

thanks, and hope this helps someone,

if you lube the holder with gear oil and the o ring with gear oil then torque it down corectly it shouldnt leak.

The key word here is shouldn't :)

I have had the holders out of my truck 4 times and every time I tried to save an O-Ring I had leaks. I'm sure part of it is just my bad luck :D

2 cent o-ring, I hate doing things twice. I hear more greef from people who don't replace a 2 cent part. IMHO.
