Leaky Megacabs

I took my Megacab in today after finding a leak over the weekend. The symptom is water dripping from the mounting points on the handle of the driver side A-pillar. The water drips at a pretty good rate and collects near the left foot area. I thought it was the missing seal at the top of the front windshield



The cause is the door seal. Apparently, the seal is screwed on without any sealant. Water leaks in through the holes at a pretty good rate. The dealer sealed the screw holes, checked for damage and sent me on my way. I sure hope this does the trick.



In the process I learned that the Megacabs do not have seal across the top of the front windshield.

I'll have to double check mine. That's weird I live in the Pacific Northwest with no problems. We've had alot of rain to date. Bought my 06' Mega in October 05'.

My grab bar was leaking as well and I have a QC, they did the same repair to my truck as yours and it's been 3weeks with lots of rain and snow. No Leaks as of yet.

It maybe isolated to the assembly location. Mine was assembled in Mexico.

I believe all MegaCabs are made in Mexico. The quadcab is made in St. Louis and Mexico.
