Well, after 419,644 miles I'm finally going to say goodby to my old 95 12 valver. Had a man offer me more than I ever thought I would get for it. I will pick up a 2003 HO reg. cab with a steel bed on it tomorrow. My old 12 valver will go to the Rio Grande Valley and haul produces for no telling how many more miles. I'll send some pictures of the truck and the speedo to the magazine but it will be the last of this truck.

Will switch over to the Third Gen forum after today. Hate getting rid of my old truck but it was getting a lot of miles and it was time.

Wanted to josh you and say "what a quitter" but you never know how the printed word transmits

To T. Baker. -- After over 400,000 miles it was time to make a change. I make my living in this truck and little problems were starting to take up time and expense, plus I needed six new tires. To David. -- Major failures-- two stock transmissions, although I made it to 347,000 miles before I put in a DTT, that solved that problem. Minor problems, just a lot of little things that are to be expected on a truck with this many miles on it going down some of the roads that I do. I run oilfield hotshot and pull a 7000 lb (empty) trailer, loaded will average 18,000 lbs. Lastest problem was loseing the nut off the end of the axle last week. That really got my attention. If you want to know more I can e-mail you more after I look at my maintance log. Thanks for being interested.

Congrats on your new truck, and congrats on your old truck. I only ask you don't leave the 12 valve forum, but check back on us now and then. I'm sure after 420k miles you have some good knowledge to share. ;)

WOW!!! That is great. Please write an article for the TDR on your experience with this truck. Enjoy your new truck. You have earned it.

How about posting that log?

I think alot of us 12 valvers would like to see a maintenance log of 419k miles. Give us an idea of what to expect way down the road. An abreviated edition would be nice. How about it EB??... ..... I bet you're gonna miss your properly valved, electronfree 5. 9 one day:{ ... ... ... Enjoy your new ride EB:cool:

EB, Congrats on the move to the 03. I'm sure there's some good stories after 400,000 + miles with your 12V.

C'mon, they aren`t all that bad. They will grow on you, real quick.
