I know myself and others have asked this question before, but I'm wondering if there are any updates.

Are there any LED headlight conversions out there that really work? I would prefer the replacement housing and bulb combinations, but what are opinions on just LED bulb replacement in standard housings?

As we know, the stock headlights on these trucks are terrible.

I've seen some aftermarket LED housings on trucks running around, but I've never had the chance to ask the owners how they liked them.

I installed aftermarket LED blubs that had both High and low beams and along with Fog lights LED's on my truck. I purchased my LED's from Lumawerx for the High and Low beam. They offer kits by bulb part number of the original bulb in the truck. My Fog lights are from Xtreme LED Pro fog light bulbs, this too is sold in kits to fit the truck.
You will need to clock the lights to provide the best over all light patterner.

I have been using my LED's since Jan. 2019, and this has made a major improvement in night time driving over the factory light bulbs.

I am not sure if the 2003 trucks have CAB-BUS wiring, but I think they do ? So, you will need a kit that will include everything for your truck model year.

Thank you! Yes, my 03 has CanBus lighting. I don't know if they all do or not. I wonder if these bulbs have the CanBus built in?

SuperbrightLEDs offers these with built in CanBus, but the reviews are a little disappointing.

If I remember correctly the Can-Bus just allows different sensors routing data between pieces (simplified version).

My LED lights use drivers that are provided in the different kits for the head lights and fog lights. I just tie wrapped the drivers and wiring out of the way behind the lamp housings. Taking care not to pinch the wiring on the wiring harness. it is just basically plug and play with the Deutsch connectors in the wiring harness.

Since I need new housings anyway, my other option is going with one of the LED projector light units available for 03 out there. I've seen some on trucks going down the road, but never talked with their owners. I'm just scared to buy something without knowing how happy the customer is with them.

Update: I've decided against going with LED headlights, and ordered new DEPO housings like Geno's sells. What're the best halogen bulbs to buy?
