OK- Here is the scoop- A fair number have expressed interest in replacing the stock tail/stop and front turn signal with LED replacements and have been asking me where to get them. I spoke with the distributor and he quoted me the following prices:

3157 15-LED Red $24

3157 15-LED Amber $30

Prices are per pair. Shipping would be $6.

If I could get a count on who and how many we could get a group price. The discount would depend on how many want what. Please add to this post or Email me of interest so I can get an idea. When I get the group price, I'll let all know how to get em and how much. Any problems, Email me:D :D

Sorry I've been slow to respond for those who've PM or email I've not responded. Been working a crapload of hours (try 70 a week):(

i might bite...

i'm a little slow on the uptake tonight. are the ambers for the front? will i need more than one pair of reds for the rear? how

hard is the install?? i'll take a pair of each if the answers are right.

The Amber bulbs are for the front, unless you have done like myself and at least one other that I know of- converted your reverse lamps to turn seperate turn indicators My brake lamps- normally on our trucks the "combo" turn/stop are now only for brake and tail lamp. In this case you'd need two pair of amber (front & rear) and red for the rear. The rest of the lighting pictured is available From Parts Systems

Cab Lighting

and LED Clearance Lamps

Prices are as marked and are pretty inexpensive for LED.

Installation of the LED lighting (cab and Clearance) is no different than installing traditional sealed incandescent lamps. The difference is super long (100,000 hour) life and a fraction of the current drain. The replacement lamps for the tail/turn/stop are just that- replacement lamps. No modifications are necessary.

They use the existing socket.

ok kev

i'm in for one pair of amber and one pair of red. this should take care of me. i haven't changed the rears. right?? let me know the details.

Count me in for 1 pair of ambers and one pair of reds.

Do the reds run dim and get bright when you hit the brakes like a typical bulb? ( I didn't know LED's could do that )

Also why don't they make a clear for the rear tail lenses. They are red anyway.

I'm putting strobes as well in my tail lenses so I might end up buying a set of clear tail lenses any way ( we run blue lEmergency lights here in CT  )

Dkevdog,

I tried a pair of of LED 3157 Red taillight bulbs a couple of months ago.

I found with the stock red tailight lens and the red LED bulb, they were way too dim. I returned them.

If he has CLEAR 3157's those may be better.

ok, answered another question...

got to thinkin' 'bout that hemidart!! thanx for the info!! i can't

change to clear lenses yet. so clears would be better for the rear.

mactruck--put clear hideaways in your taillites. you can run red to the rear in Ct. as long as you're stopped. if ya want blue to the rear, put micro-grille masters in your rear window. alot less

install hassle... no need to cut into the taillites with a hole saw with the rear window.

LED Bulbs

Count me in for clear rear/amber front/clearance lights/and marker lights. Yeah... ..... the whole sheeeebang!

Eric :D :D :D
