I'm wanting to have and LED on my dash light up when my TC is in lockup. Anyone know where to get a 12V signal or or any signal or where I could find information on this?

Thanks

Zach.

LED

I have a mystery switch wired up to my converter. What it does is ground one of the wires by the PCM. Insrtuctions are here;

I bought a little 12 volt LED and wired up 12 volts to one side. I split the ground my mystery switch was sending to the converter wire and ran it to the other side of the LED. The LED lights up any time there is a signal to lock up the converter. I say a signal to lock up the converter because under some circumstances, you can't lock the converter when you are coasting. You can keep it locked but not actually lock it unless you give it a little throttle. The LED does what I want it to do.

Dennis,

Does the LED come on even if your switch isn't in the "locked" position? Say you're just driving down the road, when it shifts into third normally, then goes into third lockup, does the light come on, or does the mystery switch have to be in the "locked" position to get it to come on?

So if you use this B11 orange/black wire off the PCM as the ground for the LED. The ground is completed when the TC locks up and the LED will come on? If thats it, its pretty simple. Oo.

LED function

Yes, the LED lights up any time the converter is told to be locked by either the PCM or the mystery switch. I have to admit, it's not the way I intended it to be. I bought a floor mounted head light dimmer switch at Autozone and wanted to be able to tell what position it was in. I hadn't thought about the ground feeding back from the PCM B11 orange wire but it does.

I will probably wire in a relay to get the function I want but it hasn't been an issue yet. I may add a second LED for that. Doing my gauges right now!

Well it works. Light comes on . 5-1 second before lockup. Only problem was it set cold 0753 "An open or shorted condition detected in the overdrive

solenoid control circuit or Trans Relay Circuit in JTEC RE

transmissions" I probably set this when I didnt unhook the termials before tapping the B11 wire...
