Has anyone installed LED's in place of the factory reverse bulb's. I went to Autozone tonight to see what they had. They have the light's but you need a resister or whatever to power them. It would come to around $35 to do, but I don't know if it's worth it. I have tinted window's, and would like something brighter at night without putting extra light's on the back of my truck. Just need some suggestion's! Thank's.

Several years ago I found small halogen bulbs made to replace stock back-up bulbs at a local parts store. I don't remember what they cost but it was well under $35! They are still working. They helped, but still weren't enough. I cut some holes and mounted some rectangular backup lights in the bumper. That was the best fix.

Unless you spring some special high-wattage LEDs like you can find in some of the new LED flashlights that are made for back-up lights, I doubt they'll be much improvement. See if you can find halogen bulbs like mine.

Beach,

All of my lights are led's. Little hint about that site, there is a tab for online support. You can chat with customer service, ask them if the light you want is in stock. I had a couple that turned out to be back ordered, they swapped them for another bulb ( same price ) no problem. They are very helpful and shipping is fast.

Thank's guy's! Shobbs, are the led's just a replacement or do you have to install something else so they work. I notice CKelley1 has the led reverse light's and the headlight's I thought about getting. How do you like the reverse light's and the headlight's. Thank's again guy's!

Beach,

All I did was replace the standard bulb with an led. My tail lights were a complete housing that I picked up off ebay. I have had no issues with hyper flashing or fast blinking with the turn signals. What I have noticed is my headlamp switch is cool to the touch, before all the led's it would get warm. This is one reason why I switched them all out was due to reading about the headlamp switches in these trucks being prone to failure caused by heat. This is the tail lights I have on my truck and they are bright all plug and play.
