This all started in the last days of Oct, after over 4 months of work on our part (no lawyers) we now have restitution. We have been compensated for most of the unexpected out of pocket expenses by Chrysler, a second check arrived this past weekend.

USAA my INS co is going after the oil co for the 14K they put up, and seemed to think they would get their money also, if in fact they dont already have it.

All I ever wanted from Chrysler was to do the "right thing" and after much time and effort they have done just that.

Those that are not familiar, I got a bad load of fuel at an 11 bay truck stop (water & crap) WIF light never came on. This in-turn allowed me to continue to drive wiping out the entire fuel sys. This cost $14,000 to fix, they then installed a new CP3 pump that was bad and allowed 5 gallons of fuel in the eng while it was running. This was all made worse by the fact that I was in the middle of a trip and 500 miles from home. The entire repair took just short of 30 days and thousands of extra miles driven by me. (There is much more to this then I put)

Bottom line I was taken care of and have had most of my faith restored in the truck and Chrysler.

I will be very happy to help anyone if they have simular issues.

I can not say enough how well most of you the TDR family took care of me and mine, this is a great place to make friends and get and share info.

THANKS TDR MEMBERS AND STAFF

I remember the first post you put up and followed what happened with you, your family and your truck. I'm glad that USAA has taken care of you as they have of me.

Good luck with the truck and many more happy miles to come

so did they work on the block due to the fuel that filled the block?

All my warranty is in place, they know what happened and I still have the entire coverage. Hope nothing comes of it, oil pressure is good and all other parameters in spec. I have an extended warranty that I bought same time of truck. As far as is listed in my work order no block work was done.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal! Glad you found restitution. Thats also good news about USAA. I've been thinking about switching over. GregH

Wygate,

Glad things are looking better. I can't imagine the shall I call it "agonizing" that you and your family put up with throughout this unnecessary ordeal. I'm certain it made a bunch of us here on TDR wonder about the next load of fuel from an unknown not in your backyard supplier.

Hopefully this years vacation will be a good one.

The Challenge Coin is on the dresser at home.

Best regards,

Gary

Wygate, I'm very happy to hear that you had a good ending to the long and hard fought ordeal. I'm also happy to hear that you have restored confidence in your truck and Chrysler.

Happy travels, george

Gary, George,

Thanks

I will be testing her out this june when I drive 3k from VA to OR coast, new job. I will have a slide-in camper, 5k jeep and all the crap I can fit on the 14k trailer, so I keep under my weight on the Moving truck! 13k dose not go far in house hold goods when you add a fully stocked garage and a $1. 50 a pound is good motivation to stay under the max allowed weight.

Thanks again guys

Jay
