Can you use airbags with a turn over ball?

Arctic Fox Camper FS in Fort Worth?

We are going to full time in about a year. We are looking at several 5er's from 36' - 40'. We are wondering about length restrictions to get into state parks and federal parks.

We have done searches on the INet by states but no general concensus.

What have you encountered in length restrictions? when? where? public? private?

We are looking into WorKamper's as a way to provide income while traveling and a lot of the jobs are in state and federal parks. They swap work time per week (20 hrs) for full hook ups. But don't want to rule out state and federal parks because of 5er length.

Thanks for any and all input,

Bob Weis

Bob, I am also in the market for a 5th, although I will be a recreational user and not a full timer. I came close to buying a 40' from my Uncle who is getting a little old (86)for hauling that big rig around, he was going to give me a good deal. I ran into one major problem, the State (Calif. ) and National Parks I investigated have a 32' limit! So now I want a 30 to 32 footer. A buddy of mine has a 36' and he had some really bad experiences being turned away at various beaches along the coast. Made a romantic get away not so romantic!

I'd suggest checking with the particular parks to see what their restrictions are.

Another good resource is the Trailer Life and/or Woodall's books.

As was stated, there are a lot of parks that restrict length to about 30'.

Part of the reason is that the spaces were laid out when a 30 footer was about the biggest thing on the road.

The other part is that they could get more spaces into the available acreage.
