Less lubricity in fuel in 2006

Does anyone know what effect the fuel with even less lubrricity thats supposed to be out next year will have on our early ve pumps?

I don't think it will be that bad, but you may want to throw a gallon or 2 of biodiesel, that will certainly replace more lubricity then was taken out.

The new, ultra-low-sulfur fuel will continue to have lubricating qualities because of the new provision of the ASTM standard that includes lubricity as a requirement. To make sure of fuel quality, truck owners can request from the fuel supplier a certificate of analysis of the fuel that proves that lubricity was measured and it meets the ASTM standard. Seal elasticity issues are not anticipated, since this fuel change does not involve significant aromatics changes.

I whole heartedly agree. A B5 (5% biodiesel) makes a huge difference. My truck loves the stuff and purrs nicely with it. I get less diesel clatter and nice smooth operation, similar mileage and less emmisions. As far as I'm concerned, B5 should be readily available here throughout North America. What's takin us so long to get on board with the rest of the world? In Europe biodiesel is cheaper than regular diesel. Anyway I'll stop ranting over my raving!
