here I was this morning shopping for the lowest price on a Quadzilla race box, go out to my truck and the engine light is on and kicking the 2 codes. I understand these deal with the camshaft sensor... but to happen on a stock truck seems very odd. Dealer can't get me in till friday. Any idea why this is happening and how serious this is?

New trucks can really ___ ya off sometimes.

I have had those codes before, only once then never again.

Could be a bad sensor.

Not a major issue in my opinion.

The cam and the crank sensor are identical to each other, just in different places reading different things.

I would go ahead and order your box and have your dealer replace the sensor or whatever.

Bombs away!!

I had the same codes at around 2000 miles. The code cleared after a few starts but then it quit at a stop light and took a couple of tries to restart. The dealer replaced the crank position sensor and have not had any more problems since. Be aware that the Crank Position Sensor is a STAR part so it may take a few days to get it if that is the problem. Dealer had my truck for 5 days(that included a Sat and Sun). Good Luck.

Here is what the codes are:

P0335=Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction

P0336=Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance
