All 3G owners, as most of you are already painfully aware there are few goodies available out there for our new rides. Here is what I've found so far. Dodge has a new accessory pamplet out in some dealerships. They have running boards, nerf bars, mud flaps, bras, CD changer, handsfree phone kit, gps etc. WAAG? Putco, nope. Dee Zee, nope, not yet. Pull Rite, soon they are working on it. What have you guys found? I know Dieselman has mounted some gauges. I have some Fast coolers, and it looks as if they will fit with no problems. I'll let y'all know if it ever stops raining down here. Now that we have our hands on some trucks, let's get busy.

Congrats on Big Red!

I'm also workin on a radio stack ( VHF/UHF/CB ) to replace the cubby in front of the shifter, and a phone cradle for beside the 4X lever.

I wish they'd get a Gauge/Guage/Gage pod out, it is a little annoying lookin' down at the pyro, but it's quite useable and looks good in the dash.

My truck's post Turbo temp hits 900+ towing 7400lbs up a 15% grade at 40MPH in 4X, I like to see this before it surprises me, never seen it higher though.

I have a plastic idea I'd like to see, a pod directly above the drivers right AC vent, below the dash brow line, would put gauges at the right spot as well. With only two dash colors, it should be easy to make.

Whats your First Name??

At about 22 - 24 lbs, it is steady under heavy load, this is the dump point.

Under light load/ heavy acceleration it begins de-fueling and boost rolls off beginning at about 2600-2700 RPM

I am running 80 MPH at 7000' elevation empty on I-40 on level ground, 425 degrees post turbo and 10-12 lbs boost.

Highest EGT is between 1400 - 1900 RPM, it will pull any hill at 1400 but shifting down to get RPM to 1900 or higher drops EGT by 300-400 degrees.

What else can I tell ya'?

Oh' also, I think the ignition switches are going to be a problem, mine turns off accessories with the engine running under fairly light off pressure without actually clicking, does yours?

Accessory catalog not even available

The accessory part numbers etc are not even available in Canada. And won't be for some time yet, according to the parts guy. Bummer. Will probably need to make a trip across the border to scoop one up. Good thread, Fireman. I need a lot of goodies and this is the only way I can find out about them. Mudflaps first. Mopar as I need cusom fit bracket. There is not a lot of metal attaching points in the rear of the dually wheel well. Well, off to pick up the beast in about six hours.

Dieselman,

Are you pulling a 5er? I'm interested in knowing if you had any problem installing the hitch with the frame change on these new trucks.

Dually mudflaps

Has anyone found a part number for Mopar dually mudflaps for the 2003? Since there is not much there to attach the typical "universal fit" style, I think I will need to stick with Mopar, but the dealer has no information. Thanks

Autometer Phantom, they were the closest to the factory style though they are different at night.

If you look at the frame it should be mountable without drilling and very stable. But nothing that is available now will fit without some mods, at least as far as I've seen. I'll be setting up the 5ver next spring for an Alaska run from June through September. Should be a blast!

Early November for Aftermarket

The aftermarket dealers told me they expect an influx of stuff for the new Dodges at the SEMA show end of October. So expect the new stuff late Oct to early Nov.

Couldn't wait; had Dodge install the Luverne Nerfs they sell. They look great and fit really well too.

Pullrite is in the process of developing a custom fit bracket for their line of hitches. I bought the 25,500 Super 5th but I need the custom fit brackets in order to install it. Spoke to the factory today and while they have them almost ready for the 2500 they are working on the 3500. They said it would be a challenge due to the brackets for the overload springs. They are hoping to have something within a couple of weeks. I may end up going to the factory for them to confirm the installation on an actual truck. Until then, my fiver is sitting in the driveway. Bummer :(

Good work Casey

Don't have time now to check out that link, but I bet I've held the book. I e-mailed you the DC pn for the mudflaps earlier. I also talked to PullRite about a week and a half ago, same story. They also have my name and # as a volunteer for fit confirmation. It's a long drive, but I would be able to get my mounts early, and maybe cheaper.

da dat da dat da dat ..... news flash Geno's now has the pns for Kodiac Sidewinder steps for the front and rear on '03 QC 2500 & 3500 call Windy for more info.

Has anyne ever had the sidewinder steps, how did you like them. Any problems or drawbacks.

I just checked out the preliminary 2003 Accessories list, page 69, Ram 1500, yes, 1500 Diesel Brake. HMMMMM! Somebody at MOPAR is a wee bit confused!!:--)

Can you keep us posted on the Pull Rite hitch. Have a 3500 SB on order and want to put an automatic sliding fiver hitch in it. I got the instructions on the 2002 and earlier Rams from Pull Rite and to install the 25,000 lb capacity hitch, it required moving the overload spring hanger and drilling a couple of new holes in the frame to mount it. Hope their new version will mount without any frame drilling. Kinda worried about all this. Thanks in advance.
