Let's talk about 3rd gen stereos
Looking at '04 3500's and am trying to figure out what an Infinity sound system consists of. Ultimately, I would like to get the RB1 GPS Navigation system with good quality speakers, but assume that I will not find a truck on the lot configured the way I want it that has one.
Assuming that I get a truck with the standard CD player w/o Infinity sound, can I install the RB1 GPS Navigation system and install after-market speakers/amp?
Do the Chrysler stereos all have line level outputs for driving external amps, or do they use the speaker level outputs to drive the Infinity amp?
Would the RB1 have enough power to drive a set of respectabe after-market speakers w/o an external amp? I am trying to keep it simple and not spend a fortune.
Do the 3rd gens have an A-Piller mounted tweater like the 2nd gens, and if so, is the mouting available to add the tweaters if I order the standard 4 speaker system?
Any help is much appreciated. More dumb questions to follow.
