Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Let's talk mufflers

I have been running the 4" Magnaflow for a long time and as I get older, the drone while towing is starting to bother me. I am thinking of the 41" Donaldson. I have read that it will take care of the drone.

Question, is it still a full flow muffler?

Also, is there a better source than a local heavy equipment supply?

Flowmaster advertises that its Hushpower diesel muffler eliminates drone. I am using a $25 ebay muffler that came with my 5" exhaust. It was way too loud and aggressive so I added an Aero turbine 5050XL behind that and am very pleased by how much quieter my exhaust runs. I've lost my awesomely aggressive sound, but it is so much more comfortable on long trips. Expensive, but it does what it claims and EGTs dropped slightly, no loss of power, quicker spoolup if anything by the seat of the pants meter and boost gauge.

OK, thanks for the info. I see yours is 5". I will check and see what they have in 4" or maybe just convert to 5" muffler back. Looks like a quality product and in my book reasonable for our trucks.
