I'm going to level the front of my 04. 5 3500. Daystars have been touted repeatedly on the forum. I also like some of the CNC machined steel units that I've found on ebay. My thought is that steel would not change ride quality at all, and there's no chance of slop or compression-related changes in geometry. That said, do Daystars soften the ride at all? That would be welcome, as long as no undesirable handling characteristics occur. I have Firestone air bags in the back, so I expect to be level at all loads once the spacers are on. Any other issues I should be aware of with leveling?
Also, will the coil drop far enough to install with simple hand tools, or is a spring compressor required? How about the stock shock absorbers with a 2" spacer ... mandatory to replace?
Thanks,
Rich
