I was considering a Revtek 2" leveling kit for the front of my 2001 2500 Quad cab. I plow with the truck and was also considering Timbren polyurethane load springs. Anyone have advice/ comments/ pics? Thanks!
I have a 2002 w/ the 2 inch leveling kit. I also run 295/76/16 tires w/ 16*10 wheels. It has the plow package from Dodge also. If you look at my signature it shows it might be one of the fasted plow truck around. I do not plow commerically however just for fun! Oo.
We have a 2500 Quad Cab cummins with an 8 Ft. Fisher setup that we use timbrens to help with the weight. They're ok, def help with the plow on, but running empty it rides rougher.
We also have a 3500 Quad cab with a 9 Ft. Xblade. We went with the kelderman air ride front. Little pricey but def worth it. The truck barely sags with the plow up (thats without counterweight), and it rides very smooth with the plow on or off. Here's a pic of the xblade, sorry its kinda low res.
Thanks Guys. The comment about the truck riding rough with the Timbrens scares me. I think my truck rides pretty rough with the load range E tires now! Thanks again.
I've got a 9 foot Fisher and put the D25 skyjacker coils in. The ride is excellent and the front only drops about an inch when I lift the plow. I would worry a little with the poly spacers and the added weight of a plow tearing up the spacers but maybe I am wrong. The springs only cost a little more than the spacers.
I plow commercially,I putthe 2" spacers in this yr,I had to lower the plwo mount(Boss 9'2" V) 2 notches, but so far so good.
datamm, I dont know who has THE fastest plow truck around ,but mine has got to be up there, especially considering I plow commercially, with a v box spreader,AND now a sidewing plow.
