Driving to Las Vegas

New cartridge, ink levels show full & won't print. I did the clean & align, still nada. The head moves side to side & the system thinks all is fine, but nada.

Anyone seen this one?

Thanks

printer cart.

Did you pull off the clear tape off of the print cartridge?? I is usually over the bottom and up the back side that you can't see when it is installed in the printer?

I have the lexmark z22 on the kids computer.

The lexmark has a great self diagnostic program.

I will go check mine out and I report back

Lexmark printers are nice, but I love my HP laserjet

Open the lexmark control panel from the program and print a test sheet from the contol panel

Forrest, I have a Z22 Lexmark and every couple of months it just quits working. I delete the printer drivers and reload the program and it works again. Try that.

DRR - It doesn't print the test sheet. It feeds it @ the print rate & thinks it's printing fine. You can hear the head going also.

Ram4Sam - I'll give it a try. I didn't have it installed on this computer & got the driver from the Lexmark site, so shouldn't be an issue.

Can you manually get any ink from the cartridge?? I don't have any lexmarks, so I don't know what the cartridges look like, but on my HP's if you hold a wet paper towel in one hand and tap the ink cartridge on it with the other, you should get ink. For a while HP made a bunch of cartridges using the tape stuff to cover the vitals of the cartridge. They used an adhesive on the tape that would melt when hot. Well summer came and while being moved around in trucks, the glue was getting hot, melting, then plugging the vent hole, preventing any ink from coming out. They have since fixed the problem, thought you might be experiencing the same thing.
