Drove my first Duramax

Mexican Truck-

I know what you mean  They have to b*tch about something :-{} or else they would just feel useless:rolleyes:

Isn't there something more worthwhile to report on???

They think that amount of smoke is bad??? I get more smoke out of my Ram than a lot of those in the pics, and my truck is far from extreme. Strick-9 should show them what real smoke is. :) or is it fog.....

So I guess these people must live by the saying "out of sight, out of mind," regarding the emissions gas engines put out!

That would have been neat to see an ole dodge with stacks, a goosneck trailer, lettin off a little cloud as he started off the line!!:D

Exactly!

Since "visible" emissions seem to be the primary criteria for determining "dirty" engines, does anyone find it strange that jet aircraft aren't picked on as much as "dirty diesels" (actually, not at all)? Emissions around major airports must be significant (although I haven't run across any monitoring data - apparently the eco types aren't concerned). And what about emissions from jet aircraft being dumped into the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere while enroute?

Oh, and by the way, gasoline and cng engines emit more of virtually all of the substances listed at the bottom of the linked page than comparable diesel engines. Where's the outcry?

what we should do is....

have a little contest and all of us get in a enclosed room with a diesel and all of them in a room with a 'nonsmokeing... must be clean' gasser and see who falls over first... .....

a miner was telling me once about in a mine he worked in once were the diesel smoke was so thick you could hardly see your hand and nobody was croaking off! Im not saying its good for you but far from deadly ... like gasser exaust!!!

... ... ... . MORONS!

Jim

I've said it before...

... F'n tree hugger smelly hippies:rolleyes: . The towns people whine about the smoke but if a town bypass would be recomended they would whine about that. A truck bypass was mentioned here in my town to alleviate some of the traffic. The county commisioners and store owners are still fighting it:mad: . They say it will divert all of their customers from coming into town:{ . I like Jims idea. just make sure you get as many as you can in the room with the gasser, thin out there numbers a little;) ... This pic looks good.

I guess I should get a pic of my truck starting off from a stop with a PDR HX-40 Comp on 5x5 with Drug Pushers towing 36,000 pounds. For some reason traffic waits for the NEXT greenlight to proceed through the intersection.

If these "green" guys saw me they'd shoot my rear for sure. Ever seen a very smokey dyno run? Just times it by 2 and then add each gear (6).

I have power of darkness, :D , I can turn Day,, into Night. Pics coming soon.

P. S. I enjoyed looking at all the pictures of trucks smoking :)

Or is it "They would Blow Up"?

That's a good question... I would love to do a field test on this subject just to find out, but one of them would have to stop b*tching in order to see results. So I guess we are out of luck:rolleyes:
