what is the life expectancy of the HotRod pumps? I've heard they don't last as long as the stock pumps. Any truth to that? I think I'd like to go with one fruther on down the road once my stocker takes a dump, but I'd like to keep my truck reliable too.

The HRVP has the same reliability as a standard pump..... The trick is to pick the right pump for the application. For some the HRVP fits the bill, for others a standard pump may be their best option.

Here's what one of the Industrial Injection reps sez about related failure rates with the HRVP:

The Hot Rod VP44 will give you 65-100hp depending on the injectors that you have installed. We have seen some IAT sensors go bad after new programing was introduced in the system. We don't know right now why but We and Bosch have been seeing a 1% failure rate normally for IAT sensors. The new programing being installed now jumps the failures to 10-20% The hard part is we can't prove it yet but we are paying attention and keeping records.

Not specifically the HRVP - but apparently related...
