Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Life expectency of a turbo

I have a HX 35/40 built by Gillete Diesel in Salt lake with about 120,000 miles on it and am thinking it's about time to think about it. Any ballpark on how many miles it could last?

Miles dont matter as much as HOW the miles are. Along with initial quality.
Are you hard on it?

I tow a 10'000# toy hauler and see close to 30# of boost regular basis. Towing from Utah to baja and back. Lots of big hills. I down shift at 1150* egt. So I use it pretty hard, but am very conscious of the gauges.

Check for shaft side and end play on a regular bases, that is oil change time. If you pull the intake hose to get at the filter you can check the shaft before reinstalling it. SnoKing
