I know this has been covered somewhat in the past, but I would like my 3500 to sit a little higher. I was wondering about the 2 inch spacers... . Do they cause death wobble? And what is death wobble?

I also suppose I would need to lift the rear a bit as well. Any suggestions??? I tow a lot of wieght often and very far. So strength and rideabilty are issues.

Please advise.

I used a 2 " Front end Leveling Kit in the rig and am using 255/85/16 Mud terrains. The Front end leveling kit consists of either a set of A: (Ployurethane / Nylon) Spacers or B: (Steel 1/4 inch coated) Spacers. Personally I went for the Steel. The Death wobble has not occurred (Had em on for 20,000 miles) and the truck has run loaded / unloaded on some of the wound up , pothole laiden , hilly , uneven roads Connecticut has to offer. I wouldn't lift the rear at all being the truck now sits level with the kit.

Any more Q. Check my Sig below (Especially JACKIT)

i have the steel spacers on both trucks.

my 3500 sits level and the 2500 just a little nose high.

in a way the lift does cause the death wobble. i experienced it on both trucks right after installing the kits.

the front end MUST be re-aligned and the caster set to the positive position to avoid the wobble.

there have been a lot of fixes for the wobble but no cures.

some replace trak bar for the fix

some replace steering stabilizer, shocks, ball joints or rotate tires for the fix.

my 01 was new and the 94 had all new parts listed above when i got the wobble and i'm voting that the #1 wobble cause is front end alignment. and #2 is bad tires.

do a search on the death wobble to read more
