Air Horns for pick-up

5th wheel hitch short bed 3rd gen

Hey guys I have a 2005 lance I think it is model 815 can't remember :) I want to get some 285/70-19. 5's and I will need a 4" lift. Anybody hauling a camper with a lift? Any problems other than adding a block under the jacks while loading, unloading?

Thanks

Brenden

Top Heavy.

I sold my Lance because of this, and I didn't have a lift at the time. Big Lance = huge pucker factor. Too much out of controll feeling for me. I felt that if something went wrong I wouldn't have enough control left to drive myself out of a emergency situation.

Thanks for the reply. It's not a big camper it's one of the smaller ones, if not the smallest one. I think it has a dry weight of 2400# By the way I have hellwig sway bars and front and rear air bags.

Thanks

Brenden

Not even the smallest. Mine only weighs 800lbs unloaded. But I understand, I had a big camper on an older truck, had a tire blow out at 65, thank god it was on a straight stretch. Thats what made me get a new truck and a new camper

Its scarry enough loading my shadow cruiser into my stock truck. It would be even scarrier to have to lift it an additions 5 or 6 inches! Of course I have the old "3 leged system" plus spacers to allow my dually to pass through the legs. Next summer I will be back with a single rear wheel truck so I can take the spacers off.

I have a Lance Light 8" and Skyjacker 3" leveling kit. I made spacers for my AirLift bags and it works great. I thought the rear Skyjacker springs would sag more than the stockers, but they did not.

thanks for the info Jim. I think I am going to go full air ride, for the height adjustability. Still trying to find the best deal on a set of 285/75R19. 5's.

Thanks
