I am wanting to lift my 92' D350 about 4". I am tired of my front end laying on the ground and hitting the tires everytime I turn. Plus I think it would just look a lot better being a dually and lifted some. Then maybe I could add my stacks and it wouldn't look so dumb. So does anyone know of a place that sells a lift kit for a 2wd that will work on our trucks and not break the bank? Thanks, Bill

When I put the plow on my '86 2wd 1 ton GMC Iput in a set of airbags, they work awesome, I keep them aired up a little even when I don't have the plow on and it took away that whole mushy front end feeling, makes it feel like a truck. You can definately get a couple of inches, not sure about 4, check your toe in when done. I found that when my front end lifted the toe came in enough to affect handling and tire wear..... the airbags were only around $75 and you can install in about 15 minutes per side without any disassembly of the front end. Does Dodge run the shock up through the coil spring on your truck? that might be the only issue.

I've wanted to lift my '93 front end a couple of inches almost from the get-go. I have yet to find a satisfactory aftermarket way of doing it. I did find a spring manufacturer that would build me a set of springs that would give me a 2" lift for $300 EACH thats $600 for the set of two. They would retain the same spring rate so ride would not suffer. They also said price would drop with a higher quantity. Yes I've looked into the 1 ton springs but their spring rate gives a much harded ride.

I just put new springs in my front end( had a shop do it, outch)

The 10,100 front springs made mine probably 3 or 4 inches higher.

I think I was 3/4" to 1" away from the bump stop with no load.

The ride is a little harsher now, the rear is still worse by far.

The new springs drive 100% better and the truck handles SO much better now.

I think I payed 60$ a spring (I got riped)

But a great investment

I will try and get some pictures

FYI

The opening on the fender is 33" from the pavement to the black trim with 215s on my truck

Now I need to step up to some bigger tires.

I can try and get part number if you would like.

By all means, please share any pics, prices, info, and part numbers with me. I am tired of my dually looking like a wussy lowrider. It just don't look right, period. Did you have to make any other adjustments other than the springs? What shocks are you running? Thanks, Bill

Well I finally got the numbers for new 10,100 coil springs.

They are supposedly a Monroe # 5716

The shop that did my work wants $140 a pair.

Their # is 865-531-6344 ask for Phill

They put in new strut rod bushings and aligned the truck.

I have the same junky shocks that came on the truck.

You just about don't need shocks with these spring even with a load on it.

I had a friend who worked at a shop and he could get Moog springs for $70 a pair so SHOP AROUND!

My work buddy's truck 93 d350 x cab with 235s is 32 1/4 to the fender above the tire where my truck is 33 1/2 with 215s on it.

FYI

I am still working on a picture for ya.
