i am doing a cummins conversion on my 88 ramcharger and am wanting to run a 6" lift kit and i found skyjacker makes a kit for the 1st gen cummins truck but am unsure if this will fit a 1/2 ton ramchager with a 60 front and 70 rear any body know?

Should bolt right up. The chassis' are nearly identical, and as far as I can tell the suspensions swap. But, you will need the corresponding axle u-bolt plates for whichever axles you're using as they do not interchange from dana 60's to 70's to 80's.

I'm getting ready to bolt in a set of Skyjacker softride springs into my '78 Ramcharger, 2. 5" over in front and 6" over in rear (I'm removing the 3" lift block completely so it'll be 3" overall in rear), and I'm using a dana 70 rear axle and dana 60 front. Now my Ramcharger is a big block gasser so it won't be as nose heavy as your CTD'd Ramcharger, but I bet the skyjacker springs will feel great even with CTD weight. May want to ask them if they recommend a different set of springs to support a Cummins. I bet they say no.

I should know about the 70 in a few weeks, and the 60 a few weeks after that. I'm getting an electronic diff locker for the ftont 60 - just coming out on the market - push a button, locks the diff - sweet and simple.

Never looked for a 4" lift for my diesel, but at the 2. 5" lift skyjacker has different springs for the gassers, or for the cummins. An 88 RC never came with larger then a 360 in it. Gotta be a big difference then a 360 to a cummins, big block not so much.

I would bet skyjacker has different kit for a cummins truck, and thats what I would put it.

I have been very pleased with my 2. 5" skyjacker softrides, even with the 300# front bumper the truck has settled almost none after 100,000 miles.

i knew the chasis were the same just wasnt sure if the spring width and eye to eye was the same or not . the elec. lockers sound good but i like the simplicity of a good ole detroit. less to go wrong out on the trails.

the springs are listed for a cummins so they should cover the weight issue.

instead of rear 6" springs you should look at shaggys offroad rear shackle flip kit it levels out the rear suspension and deletes the rear lify blocks/

BIG DIFFEREMCE... ... . man thats a understatement. the 360/727/241 combo was a tnker toy compared to the cummins/727/205 combo. the cummins combo was around 700 lbs. heavier
