My son, who just got his first taste of a bombed Cummins, now wants to lift it. Does anyone know where he can get a lift kit? He and I have looked just about everywhere to no avail.

Found lots of them for 94 and newer, but none for our trucks.

It is a 91 1/2 4x4 diesel 3/4 ton.

I would be grateful for any input.

thanks

Hi hdm48 summit Racing sells the lift. along with most other 4x4 shops Skyjacker makes it they make it in lifts up to 6" for our trucks. Most shops don't advertise it for first generation trucks if you ask they can get it. hope this helps

I wanted to lift the front of my 93 W350 to level with the rear - checked on the Skyjacker springs through several sources. I was looking at right at $600. 00 for two front springs, two shocks, bushings (separate), u-bolts (separate) and freight to get them here. I went to American Spring (928-376-0388) in Yuma, AZ, where T. J. re-arched and added one extra leaf, plus new bushings for just a shade over $200. 00. With new Rancho shocks, the whole deal was well under $300. 00 and the truck looks great! I have 4 1/2 inches of travel from the jounce bumper to the spring and the ride is much better because it doesn't bottom out now. Just my . 02 cents . . . BTW, T. J. has a first gen W250 that is WAY cool - he's a Dodge/ CTD guy!

Dave, I just installed the Skyjacker springs (2. 5") in front and it leveled the truck up nice. I got mine through Summit Racing for the best deal I could find anywhere. $280 for the pair (Springs only - no kit (bushings, sleaves, u-bolts, etc. ) Bought that stuff separate locally.

These guys are also reasonable and have a good summary of who still makes what for the 1st gens:

Skyjacker specifically makes them for the CTD all the way up to a 6" kit or system.

BTW, I read on nwbombers site that your son's truck is also black. :D Guess that makes three of us. See you on the freeway again one of these days... .

Dave, you can also order the Skyjacker kits through Randy's off-road in Marysville. The prices he quoted me were suprisingly pretty good. I almost went through him until I found them cheaper through Summit (although not a whole lot cheaper). I have been a die hard fan of Summit Racing for a long time as it was so it made my decision all that easier.

Dave

I installed 2. 5 lift on my truck from Skyjaker. The stock springs were sagging so much it lifted the truck 5 inches in the front 6 in the back and made the truck ride a hundred times better.

Thanks guys for the info. Now all he's gotta do is get the green stuff to buy it all. But what the heck, he's young. he can work the OT to pay for it.

Thanks again
