Hello , Its time to change the lift pump on my 04. 5 3500. Truck has 72 K miles on it and want to change it out before it goes south. It has the external factory pump curently , but if i go with an afther market set up such as Fass will i have to the fuel line size and what ever else it may require ? Not sure what to do , could always put another factory pump on from Genos . Any input would be helpful. This truck is all stock.

If I were you, I would replace it with the same part from Geno's and keep the old one as a spare in case the new one dies. The orig. style units pump plenty of fuel for a stock truck, are quiet and can be changed on the side of the road once you know how to do it. JMO.

I did a FASS system and used 1/2" lines all the way up to the fuel filter housing. I dont necessarily need lines that big... . yet
