Theoretically, you haven't altered anything, you just relocated it, meaning that it would be covered under warranty. That being said, most dealers would rather just send you down the line than fix something under warranty that is not exactly as it came from the factory. If the dealer wouldn't warranty it, you could use the Magnuson-Moss Act, but it would be your time and dime to fight the dealer. I would talk with the dealer, and then get it in writing that it wouldn't affect the warranty.
