I just replaced my lift pump for the first time. It appears that the banjo bolts on both inlet and outlet only had a washer on the "outside" of the banjo; i. e. the seat face of the banjo adjacent to the pump did not have washers. Is this correct? Seems like there should be washers on both sides of the banjo bolts?

Oh yea 35K miles 11 psi at idle; 7 WOT with old pump. New pump 14. 8 at idle no WOT yet. I have been using Amalgamated fuel additive since 2k miles so lubricant will also not maintain lift pumps indefinitely.

even on the fuel supply side? Neither one from the factory had two washers. But what you are saying makes sense wonder why the factory fittings did not have them?

I think mine had them on both sides everwhere. But I sence went to A&N fitting so I can't go look. On the inlet side it should run fine but you may get a air leak when it sits.

I just replaced my LP and there are four washers needed... two on each side of the banjo fittings. I didn't have those when i did the replacement but the local NAPA store had them in stock (that was a little surprising).
