Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Lift pump check results

Checked the pressure on this 01 I'm looking at buying. Rose slowly to 10 psi at startup, then went to 0 when I bled off some fuel...



It runs perfect going down the road... The air filter is about plugged solid, so maybe the fuel filter too???



Is it something to be concerned about as long as it runs fine if I put a new pump in it right away???

Cycle the key three times and leave it on the third time and read the codes on OD. 216 is bad. SNOKING

Not sure what you mean? Does the overdrive light flash? I have access to a scan tool if necessary...

Well, I bought the truck - $14K with 250,000 on it. It is MUCH nicer than a few 150K+ examples I've looked at...



Just needs some ball joints.



After I replaced all the filters the fuel pressure came right up to about 12 psi @ idle and driving around. I think that means I'm all good?



Amazing what a difference a plugged air filter makes...
