Just came back from a trip upon which I shredded a brand X tire on the trailer, got home parked the trailer turned the truck around and parked it. Went out to run an errand this afternoon, started the truck, ran about 10 seconds and shut down, tried to restart, turned over good but no go. Checked the fuel pressure, zero, not even a drop with the valve open and the pump running. Dealer scheduled to pick up in the AM. Still have extended warranty. bg

Put a 7 # carter pusher pump inline back by the fuel tank when you get the new lift pump on.

Jannetty racing has a kit for it

What's new

Well here it is Wednesday and the dealer still don't know what is wrong with my truck. I called the hot line this morning and tried to get my truck moved to another dealer, they called back and said the phone lines were down and they could not reach the dealer where my truck is located and they must verify with them that my truck has been there three days. Seems like six to me??? As I said before, what's new? bg

Update

Called the dealer where my truck was yesterday afternoon to see what had transpired, they said the truck was running and they would not do anything else as long as it is running. I picked it up, and as soon as I got it home I checked the fuel pressure again, cranking pressure "0". With the engine running it pulled 5 inches of vacuum. Shut it off. Called another dealer this morning, my favorite but 65 miles away, Emergency roadside assist would not take it there the first time. Told him what had happened at the other place and he said "they must have had their head up their @$$" said he keeps the pumps in stock and he would have it picked up an would finish it today. Soooo there are some good ones out there, hard to get to sometimes but worth the trouble. bg

THis is the link, scroll down about halfway to JRE Fuel system and components,

In the list below it is the "lift pump" and "pusher Pump" and below that is the install kit for them. that has all the wires and hose connections and stuff as well as a little bit of hose.

I didn't bother with the JRE line, I just tapped into the connections already there.....

I bought both kits and both pumps and put them on the same time. I also have a 30 micron filter with a water sensor and drain and a remote fuel heater in 1 unit. from Racor. It also has a vacuume sensor to a warning LED on the dash letting me know when it is clogged. Water sensor Warning is on the dash too.

Got the racor unit from a "diesel injection service" shop in Texas. I did what someone else did... . I guess you could find out who else has those.

Edit: Here is the link for the Racor filter

Look under product specs and it shows the different sizes available. I used the 645 Model With the accessories mentioned above

Hope this helps
