Installed a new lift pump in february four thousand miles ago.

Pressure started fluctuating this weekend. Idle is 7 psi Rev the engine and it will raise sometimes to 12. Get her on the highway she will come up and hang in there at 11 psi with a 8,000 pound load behind me slow and stop pressure drops to 7 start out and press the accelerator as the rpms raise the pressure will also raise to about 11. Some times I would stop and it would idle at 14 but then drop to 6. Other times it bounces at an even pace from 8 to 12 psi. Was hoping the filter was pluged installed a new filter, no change. Im thinking I bought some dirty fuel, and the dirty fuel hurt the regulator in the pump? I bought the pump from hoesli diesel on the internet, Is there a warranty on these pumps?

44,000 miles on the rig. The way its acting I do not think it is my isolator, I do not own a portable test gauge to double check my hard mounted guage.

I called where I purchased the lift pump and they will send me another.

I ran the rig for 40 miles today at Idle 7 psi on the road underload 11 psi

Does anyone know why? Im going to see if the ECM is loose, when it cools down.

At 45,000 miles on the original mine was acting the same way, intermittent low pressure at idle and increase on acceleration. Completely opposite of what all other lift pump failures act like.

Replaced it and for 20,000 miles the pressure has been normal but a couple pounds less than the original. I think all pumps are not created equal and so I bought another one to keep under the back seat.
