Somewhere out there in cyber space, I remember reading a post where a guy said he was using the electric lift pump from an 8. 3. What I want to know is, what are the differences if any between them? Do the newer 8. 3's even use an electric lift pump? Would it be feasible to use one on our trucks?

I'm betting there is a simple answer to those, but I don't remember it ever being discussed.

The Bosch lift pump on an ISC or ISL only runs for the first 90 seconds or start-up. After that, the CAPS injection pump does both duties. I doubt it would be better.

Maybe the post was on using a mechanical 8. 3 lift pump?

BTW the lift pump on the HPCR ISL engine is even smaller than the previous IS engines
