Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Lift Pump Hell

46k on this truck and fuel pressure went to zero yesterday for the third pump---how about a 'class action suit' on this S%^&... . boy I am getting tired of fixing DC's short coming in engineering... ... ... ... ... ... . R, J. B. :-{}

Look at it from the LP point of view.



Voltage - ok

Placement - why here?

What do I have to do to do my job?

Why is it THAT hard to do the job?

Where would I rather be to make this easier?

Check your fuel sending unit. Mine went bad and was intermittent, it acted just like a LP going bad. On the bright side I now have two good lift pumps in the garage.

The good news, Cummins Atlantic is standing tall and gave me a new pump today even though I was 2 months out of warantee...
