Lift Pump latest & greatest part #?

Looking for the latest and greatest lift pump part number. My pressure seems to be slowly going downhill and want to get a replacement. Can Cummins cross reference the DC part number? Does anyone know what DC's minimum specs for pressure are before they replace @ idle and WOT?

10 idle, 8 WOT. The 8 is new and not written down anywhere (got it from the star line). The 10 is the old standard. The Suffix on the number is AA, I don't have the number. Call you dealer parts guy he can give you the number, just make sure you get the AA suffix. I would think Cummins could cross ref. They are around $150. 00 at Cummins and $350. 00 at Dodge. I would buy mine from Cummins if you are not under warranty. Warranty coverage varies, based on year of truck. Read your warranty book. Mine is covered under the 7 year 70K mile emissions warranty. Some have gotten theirs covered under the 5 year 100K engine warranty. I did not care as long as they paid for it. Good luck.

Barry, the Cummins part no. is 3990082, stay away from the dealer.

So would that be 3990082 or 3990082AA? Since I'm over the 100K mile mark and am now officially my own warranty station, I'll most likely buy my pump from Cummins. Before buying from Cummins I'd like to know that I'm getting the latest and greatest version of the pump.

according to my CUMMINS guy # 3990105 is the latest just like Bob Wagner says too. But be aware that it is an identical piece of crap to the OEM Carter only diff is 142 bucks vs. 300 ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Kevin

Thats correct the # 3990105 supercides all other part #'s at Cummins and the latest price is 158 and change after tax.

I'm replaceing one today.

I agree with Bob, That is the correct part. I just replaced mine aand the Cummins store told me this is a better pump that the original on my 98. 5. I have some mods. as you can see from my sig. and it runs at 15 at idle and the lowest I can get it down to is 12 in 4th gear at WOT. I hope it last as long as the first did(110,000mi). Dave

The number I gave was the last lift pump I purchased at Cummins 2 weeks ago. Maybe it has since changed.
