WFO (Wide Friggin' Open) means the same as WOT or Wide Open Throttle... sorry about that.
As far as harm being done, I doubt you'll seriously harm the VP44 as long as you don't run it hard. The VP44 needs a minimum of 8psi according to DC's STAR Line, and anything below that warrants a replacement as long as the truck is under warranty.
I wouldn't wait too long though, better safe than sorry. I'd much rather replace a $140-160 part than a $1350+ part. Even more so if it's still under warranty.
